Welcome to Colombia

Colombia is a country that is becoming more and more known in the world as a tourist destination of international level, thanks to its diverse ecosystems and its great variety in species of flora and fauna, as well as in culture and traditions. It is for this reason that the Government of Colombia has established a 10-year Sustainable Development Plan for Colombia with the following 17 established goals:
– No poverty
– Zero hunger
– Good health and well-being
– Quality education
– Gender equality
– Clean water and sanitation
– Affordable and clean energy
– Decent work and economic growth
– Industry, innovation and infrastructure
– Reduced inequalities
– Sustainable cities and communities
– Responsable consumption and production
– Climate action
– Life below water
– Life on land
– Peace, justice and strong institutions
– Partnership for the goals

These goals favor the different industries of the country and in the case of tourism it helps in the education of local communities about the ecosystems that surround them and how international tourism is an alternative business for them from which they can take care of the ecosystems and biodiversity of Colombia and not go to businesses harmful to the biodiversity, such as mining and deforestation.
It is for this reason that I invite you to watch the video and do sustainable tourism in Colombia, supporting the conservation, not only of biodiversity and ecosystems, but also of the economies and local communities of Colombia.
